About my classes. Students say...
Marcie is a gifted artist and teacher - and an incredibly kind person! She worked in partnership with me - stepping in when I asked for help - and letting me do my own thing. I love her art which gives me great trust in her suggestions/guidance. She is a lovely person to spend time with on top of it all. I recommend her highly.
I have taken several classes with Marcie, and she would always start the class with instruction and an explanation of the supplies that she brought with her. Then she would leave us on our own to work while walking around the room and helping each person. This individual encouragement was great -- I always produced something new and loved what I was able to do at each class. She provided such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere that I forgot the time. The other thing that I really enjoyed was all the material that Marcie had with her at each class. She explained many different techniques at each session so I was able to explore different things. Marcie made everyone comfortable in the classroom, so the interaction with the other students was very, very pleasant.
Marcie inspires me to create art. When you work with Marcie, you are working with someone who clearly loves creating art, is extremely skilled, and wants her students to share the same passion. An accomplished artist that can teach is a gift.
"...So thrilled with class!

I needed this!
"I just wanted to tell you that I couldn't sleep last night because I had all sorts of ideas running around in my head!
Your class has unleashed my muse which has been quite silent these last four or five months. Thank you so much for being such an inspiration!
Exceeded my expectations!
I was successfully introduced to Encaustic and loved every second of it!
I enjoyed the laid back running of the class
Interesting instructor, very knowledgeable
Very exciting and so many materials Marcie provided "...loads of ideas"
Marcie is extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and encouraging. She offered a good mix of didactic instruction and personalized suggestions
She offered many different materials to work with and ideas to “stretch” the concepts of collage.
Marcie was very knowledgeable and helpful. She has many different things for the class to use in their work and even brought in additional things specific to my project!
Enjoyed learning a new technique and interacting with a gentle artist...
I had a great time at your workshop. I wished it was 2 days too!

mousetrapped. I’ve painted my mouse saga (desperate woman goes to great lengths to rid her house of mice) using recycled kitchen cabinet doors (15 doors) as a base for my mixed media paintings. The series ends with a flashback to 1983, from my journal documenting my first (unintentional) mousetrap. Convinced that i’m not alone with this predicament (war), i have invited the public to contribute their own mouse &/or rat tales.
The Shiny Shell. A children's chapter book about a boy and a dolphin on a mission to save the oceans. An Eco-Adventure for ages 6 - 12 in Ebook & print.
"...it's a book that blends a rip-roaring adventure with important lessons about science and ecology, the emphasis being on the perils facing planet Earth from environmental disregard...and the illustrations, wow! Nothing ordinary about the wonderful art which nicely supports the flow of this story." "...Everyone in my family found the story quite compelling...we were absolutely enchanted by Marcie Wolf-Hubbard's lovely, dreamy illustrations! The Shiny Shell should be a perennial favorite for children -- or anyone who enjoys a tale that entertains as well as informs."
